Product Overview
The Brigade High Income Fund (the “Fund”) seeks to generate current income and achieve long-term capital growth by investing primarily in high yield corporate bonds and opportunistically in bank loans and other credit instruments.
Brigade’s investment process is rooted in fundamental, bottom-up credit research with an emphasis on risk-adjusted returns and capital preservation, while utilizing portfolio rotation across asset class, rating, seniority and sector as the credit cycle evolves.
The Team focuses on investment opportunities that meet the following criteria:
- Substantial asset coverage and/or generate free cash flow generation
- Defined qualitative characteristics, including a strong management team, positive operating momentum, high market share, among others
- Catalyst to unlock embedded value, including raising capital, asset sale, restructuring, or paying down debt through free cash flow
Risk management emphasizes diversification and capital preservation; exposures are monitored real time through proprietary risk software and pre- and post- trade compliance reporting.
There is no use of leverage.
