Overview
Objective
The CRM Small Cap Value Strategy seeks to capture attractive long-term total returns by investing in a concentrated portfolio of U.S. small-cap value companies using a fundamental, bottom-up investment approach.
Description
The CRM Small Cap Value Strategy was launched in October 1995.
- Focused small-cap value opportunity set: Invests in companies with market capitalizations generally ranging from approximately $400 million to $2.5 billion, applying the same time-tested investment philosophy and process used across CRM strategies.
- High-conviction, bottom-up portfolio construction: Supported by an experienced investment team, the strategy typically holds approximately 35–50 stocks selected based on CRM’s core philosophy of change, neglect, and valuation.
- Disciplined, risk-aware process: While security selection is bottom-up, portfolio construction incorporates stock-specific risks, sector weightings, and overall risk/reward characteristics, resulting in a relatively concentrated yet diversified portfolio.
